Hailing from Los Angeles, Alina Bea is an exploratory avant-pop singer, dancer, and multi-instrumentalist. Her sound is characterized by disarmingly intimate and direct vocals, bolstered by a blend of dark synth pop, musique concrete, experimental dance music, and the shrieking acoustical oddness of the classical avant-garde. She draws inspiration from Bjork and Kate Bush (among others) to craft sonic worlds that underpin the exaltation and terror of her lyrics, evoking the oppressive paranoia of postmodern sic-fi as a mirror held to the present era.
